Three nights in the Arenal rainforest, two in Monteverde's cloud forest, five on the north Pacific. Two transfers, three atmospheres, one long rest at the end — the version most travellers wish they had chosen.

Why this order
- Rainforest first: the easiest landing after a long flight.
- Cloud forest second, and briefly — it is a contrast, not a base.
- Coast last, and long: rest works better when it is not interrupted.

- Can we add the Osa Peninsula?
- Not comfortably in ten nights. Osa deserves four nights of its own, which is why it belongs to the fourteen-night version.
